The Early Intervention Program is 1 of 14 CDS regions throughout the state. We have been proudly serving the Wind River Indian Reservation and surrounding communities for over 25 years.
We offer FREE developmental screenings to young children birth to kindergarten in all areas of learning: Communication, Problem Solving, Motor Skills, Hearing, Vision, Self Help and Social-Emotional skills.
We help to provide families our support services with developmentally appropriate activities, plans, and support services: Speech Language, Early Childhood Special Education, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Counseling. Other services include Family Service Coordination, Early Interventionist services, and our CHILD Project Preschool! All of service providers and teachers are licensed and certified to provide quality services to young children with developmental delays or disabilities.
All of our services are FREE and provided to all families and children regardless of race, ethnicity or income.
Our CHILD Project Preschool classroom is in two locations: Ft. Washakie and Arapahoe. Transportation is provided.
We work collaboratively with our local school district preschools, Early Headstart, Headstart, daycares and child care centers to provide support in the child's natural environment.
Appointments are also available: call 332-3516 to schedule a developmental screening with one of our trained professionals!
